Angie got out of the hospital yesterday and is feeling much better. She will stay at her folks a few days this week and likely be back in Greeley on Friday. Another hurdle overcome! Her treatment will continue next week.
Angie, I really am technically challenged. It took me a long time to figure out how to post this comment! I have been praying for you and your family non-stop since Rick stopped into my sunday school room in November. The children have been asking to see Maddie and Jacob so when Rick and you need to rest I would love to have them over. When you are feeling well enough, I would love to see you for atleast 30 seconds so I can give you a hug. That would at least make me feel better! If you need ANYTHING please do not hesitate to call. I have had a lot of people ask me what we can do for you, Rick and the children. If you need help getting to any of your appointments (I know you have lots of family) my schedule is VERY flexible! I would move anything to help you out. You are a very strong women and have a great family. You also have more friends than you can possibly imagine. I know you can fight this. I love and miss you very much! Our prayers are with you - Patricia, Erik, Sophia, Zachary, and Emma
I still can't even believe I'm writing to you on a site titled your battle with cancer....Its completely unbelievable to me.
We just got back home an hour or so ago....I've been thinking about you constantly! I'm going to come out and see you soon!
Stay strong, know that there are tons of prayers, and keep envisioning that shrinking tumor....focus on that...all your energy....I'll send some good vibes your way too.
Well, it turns out I am also one of your technically challenged friends, but also determined.
I heard about the challenges you are facing and wanted to let you know that we will be praying for you in Illinois. Angie, I know how strong and positive you are whenever an obstacle is in your way. So, if anyone can get through all of this, it is you. You are one of the most positive people I have ever met. I count myself lucky to be your friend.
When you feel like you may not be up for the next challenge, take a breather and let God, your family and friends be your strength. One of my regrets is that I wish I were closer, if nothing else just to help with Maddie and Jacob. Please let others help you, even only if it is allowing you and Rick some much needed rest and watching the kids for an afternoon, helping with laundry, running an errand, etc. By allowing others to help in some way, you are allowing them to feel part of Team Angie (I bet you didn't know you were part of a team, well, you are). So, Angie and Rick, please take them up on their offers.
We will be thinking of you every day and sending our warmest thoughts to you and your family. As I sign off, I am envisioning tumors gone. Wait, what tumors? Love, Mary and the Rest of the Wiese's
Tribute: Angela Kelley Fooshee was born in Robbinsdale, Minnesota to James Patrick and Kathleen Sue (Lamoureux) Wurth. Her natural passion for life shown through the twinkle in her eyes. She was driven by her love of family and nature. Camping, playing games and telling stories around the campfire, hiking, watching the sunset (sunrise was much too early), and stopping to smell the flowers were just a few of her favorite things. She was a quiet thrill-seeker. There was never a roller coaster too high. She loved poetry, music, and enjoyed dancing with all her heart. Her traditional values inspired her to create countless family memories and crab wedges for everyone. When it came to holidays, she made sure that we had all the festive food, decorations, activities and games to ensure a lifetime of memories.
Compassion for others came naturally to her. She always looked for the beauty in life, in people, and in nature. Her kind, gentle manner and her playful nature made her the best mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend anyone could ever wish for. She was a natural caretaker, always looking out for the needs of others before her own. She cherished her family and friends. Angie truly made our world a better place.
Mrs. Fooshee touched many hearts during her nine years as an elementary teacher. She enjoyed making a difference in the lives of her students and in the world around her. But she was more than a teacher of children; she taught ALL of us how to be thankful and grateful, and to trust in God completely. Her journey through life inspired all of us.
Mrs. Fooshee died on Monday, June 23, 2008 at North Colorado Medical Center Hospice and Palliative Care of Greeley. Survivors: Her husband, Richard L. Fooshee; daughter, Madelynn Fooshee; son, Jacob Fooshee, all of Greeley; her parents, Jim and Kathy Wurth of Berthoud, Colorado; two siblings, Brian Wurth and wife Helene of Fort Collins, Colorado, Kelsey Wurth of Berthoud; grandparents, Royal and Betty Lamoureux of Loveland, Colorado.
Services: 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2008 at Our Savior’s Church in Greeley.
Internment: Estes Valley Memorial Gardens, Estes Park, Colorado
Note: Memorial contributions may be made to the Angela Fooshee Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of Adamson Chapels, 2000 47th Avenue Greeley, CO 80634.
