Positive results

Just heard from Rick - the chemo has been holding the cancer back which is great news. The lesions on her brain, in her liver, pancreas, and media stynum have all either not changed or are smaller.

The tumor in her lung has grown so Angie will be starting radiation to target that area. Radiation will last about three weeks.

The brain lesions will be monitored and possible more targeted radiation will be used in the future.

Chemo will start again in a few weeks to continue the battle - she will have two treatments in this regime and then they will do another scan late May/early June.

How can you help? Gift cards to King Soopers or Safeway are still welcome supplements. And sign up for the bowl a thon (see info in right panel of this blog) to help the family off set costs.

Meanwhile the family is on spring break so hopefully they can celebrate this good news and brace for the next round of treatment!

Great news guys. I'm praying for you and the family. God is in control! I hope we all can rest in knowing Him and trusting in His attributes: Goodness, Sovereignty, Holiness, Wisdom, Justice, Love and Faithfulness. I know you guys are all closer to God through this trial and it makes those of us reading your site also come closer to Him too through our prayers for you all.

Have a fun spring break and enjoy!!!!
Love

I ran into Sherry at the hospital this morning & heard the good news! It brought tears to my eyes. We walked over to the Center together so I could give you a "way to attack this stuff" hug but you'd just left. So I hugged Sherry! Keep up the fight & we'll keep up the prayers. Bless all of you, lvPeg

Angellllllaaaaahhh?

R U There????

hahahaha

I'm glad the kung-fu chemo is kicking some butt on your "guts", now we need to work on that pesky lung! Good Grief! How frustrating that is not getting poisoned by all the stuff shooting through your veins!

Oh well. You are young (although older than me!--by 4 months!) And in GREAt Shape (ok, so I won't EVEN compare myself there!), so you will PRESERVERE, and you will overcome all of this!

Yuck, its awful! I'm sorry you need to go through another round, but you can take it! I'll be thinking of you. I've been having all these funky dreams about you!---Hopefully that same old guy won't steal your chemo-chair and comment our your Penara Lunch.

Take Care, Smile! And know you have so many people that love you!

Love ya tons!!!
