Fighting the battle

Hi everyone, I don't have too much time today but thought I would give a quick summary of the past few days: Angie is back in the hospital at McKee Medical Center in Loveland. Room# is 220. It has been a long couple of days. As expected, Angie's docter has recommended another round of chemo, with some new, aggressive drugs to fight the spread of the cancer. Unfortunately, it has grown quickly since the last scan of about three weeks ago. Angie is facing the battle with strength and courage right now, the family has been right there by her side. We are all very proud of her.

Please send your prayers our way, we really need to hope and pray for a miracle right now. We have already felt your prayers and support flowing in. Thank you so much!

If you are planning to visit Angie at the hospital, please call Rick or Kathy first, as the treatments are taking up much of Angie's time right now. She will most likely be quite fatigued over the coming days. Thanks again and God bless you all.

Angie and Rick, you are in our daily prayers. Keep strong in faith. I pray that the treatments don't take too much out of you and that they work as they should.

We are praying for you all and thinking about you. We're sad that you have to go through this hard time and pray that things will start to look up! I think God has gathered people together in your name already with the bowl-a-thon ready to pray and lift you up before the new battle began he was getting the troops ready.
Love,
Leanna

Ok, one of these days I'm going to learn my lesson and not check this blog while I'm at work. :-(

I just took a re-read of this entire blog. So many ups and downs with this journey.

Rick, thank you so much for keeping us all posted. I am sick with worry about Angie, and I'm sorry she is in so much pain and discomfort. I hope this "even more agressive" drug will be the trick. (it makes me wonder if there is EVEN MORE agressive Chemo??? at this point, I'd be asking for the highest octane possible!!!) This is a crazy disease that it can play this disappear/reappearing act!

Ugh.

Give everyone a hug for me!!!

My whole family is sending prayers and positive thoughts your way!

Take care and again, let us know if you need anything!

Love ya!!

Laura
