One tough cookie...

Hi everyone, sorry for the delay in updating the blog...Recent news: Angie is back in the hospital after experiencing severe pain in her side last Saturday. In one amazing show of determintation, she willed herself past the pain to make it to Rick's graduation last Saturday. Shortly after that, she went back to the ER at McKee in Loveland. The weekend was pretty tough as the doctors searched for answers to help her control her pain and nausesa from the recent chemo treatments. The combination and amount of drugs she received were "off the charts" along the scale of chemotherapy treatments. We are hoping that the cancer has been seriously diminshed by this recent treatment. The ER doctor did discover that her lung tumor has been shrinking, when compared to previous scans.

After a rough weekend, the last couple of days have been better, as a new combination of pain killers has helped to lessen Angie's pain. Her nausea has also improved, and she has eaten and rested better over the last two days. We are looking forward to having her come home soon, possibly in the next few days.

Thanks for your prayers and support, Angie can feel the love from all of you as she regains her strength and is looking forward to being home soon! The family had a prayer & purple popsicle
session tonight in Angie's hospital room..Talk to you soon, Rick

First, congratulations Rick! I know Angie wanted so much for you to graduate. Great job!

Sounds like good news about the lung tumor. We're thinking about you and praying for you every day, and we hope you get to go home soon.

Stay strong! Love you!
