Done with Radiation!

Angie 'graduated' from radiation after the maximum amount of treatments to her media stinum area (the lymph nodes along the sternum) this week. The staff gave her a certificate and clapped as she left the clinic on Thursday. The treatments have recently made it difficult to swallow - her esphogus is enflamed due to the radiation. YOU MADE IT ANGIE! We are so proud of you. This was an off week from chemo so Angie did not have a treatment this week.

Unfortunately the whole Fooshee clan was kept busy as both kids had ear infections diagnosed and treated. Kids are on the mend and Angie did not get ill being around them (her immune system is comprimised due to the chemo so we are all cautious).

Friday the 25th - the chemo doctor performed a more intense CT scan of her media stinum area. The results will be known in an appt on Monday the 28th at noon. If the tumors in that area have shrunk - Angie will most likely undergo surgery to remove these tumors. If they have not, the doctor will prescribe more chemotherapy. I will post the details here as soon as I have them. Family has come together to support Angie and Rick at this crossroads. Send your positive thoughts!

Hey Ang!

I left you a voice mail on your cell yesterday...but I'm totally thinking of you today. I hope it all comes out with good news!

But even if they have not shrunk, try not to be too discouraged
there has to be some other options too.

Let us know!!
