Next steps for treatment plan...

The CT scan completed by the radiologist and reviewed by the tumor board at the hospital late this week did not show a lot of change in the tumor on the right side of Angie's lung. As a result, she will not be referred to the Cyber knife clinic in Boulder at this time and her treatment plan has been updated.

Angie's chemo plan is the same as of now. She has one last chemo treatment on the 18th. She will not have chemo the week of the 21st (the pattern has been 3 weeks on and 1 week off and the 21st is her week off).

The radiation treatments, which are daily for about 20 minutes at a time, will continue for 9 more treatments. So she will have radiation every day from the week of the 14th and the week of the 21st.

The PET scan, which we were hoping would be scheduled at the end of this month, has been pushed out 6 weeks so the target date for this is now Feb 22 or maybe the week of Feb 25th.

Meanwhile Angie is enjoying the visit from her friends and continues to feel strong and healthy through the treatments. She has tolerated the chemo and radiation very well.

Angie we are proud of you and send you strength and love you very much - hang in there!
