Agressive treatment plan in place
Angie and Rick met with the doctors today and a new plan was put into place. She will receive strong chemo for the next three days (starting today) and radiation for 5 treatments for her brain. The Chemo is meant to address the cancer in her abdominal area. The radiation treatment started today as well. The hope is that the chemo will stop the cancer in her abdomen and the radiation they believe will address the brain cancer - her media stynum reacted really well to the radiation so they believe that the radiation will work great on her brain cancer. The doctors hope to get her home by Monday and then another scan will happen in about two weeks to assess how the treatment plan is going. Positive thoughts!
