Got this note from Kathy, Angie's mom, this week and thought everyone would enjoy!
Good thoughts for Monday's scan - results will be available on Tuesday and we will update the blog as soon as we hear the news.
Note from Mom.
Angie had a good week. She had more energy - but think we may have over done it a bit. We walked the bike path, went to a soccer game went to Brian and Helene's (Angie's Brother and his wife) and Dad is with her today, and she is exhausted. Monday is his day with her - but he thinks he gets the short end -- as most Mondays she's catching up on sleep. She looks much better, is alot more alert, and she is MUCH MORE herself (she even has an attitude sometimes - which is GREAT). I'm hoping to get her to the park again tomorrow and Wednesday -- she is enjoying getting outside to walk and play with the kids. We're saying millions of prayers for good results of her scans next week.

Fresh Colorado air (or Greeley air is o.k. too ha ha) plus a little exercise will do wonders. Matt has been actually doing research in the area of exercise and cancer recovery. To quote his brochure, "exercise has the following benefits: decreases physical and psychological fatigue during and after cancer treatments, decreases anxiety and depression, increases self-confidence and self-esteem, increases muscular strength and endurance..." Alot of Matt's survivors in his program have said it helps greatly and he has also done actual research with them and results prove it.
Point is I guess I'm glad you guys can spend time together (that is the most important point) and do the walking. IT HELPS, and it's a great way to be with each other too. (big point Matt says is to not overdo it though).
Here is his website:

also for you guys!!!!! There is one of these programs at U.N.C.
I wish I could walk with you guys!
I'll be praying for you guys for the up-coming tests.

This is the U.N.C. equivalent to Matt's program and where he was inspired to create one at Murray State.

here is the website for the U.N.C. program.
It might be something to think about down the road a little or least talking with them to see what services they could help you with. I bet their program is free, Matt's is.
Hi Ang,
Just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking about you, and sending lots of prayers and positive thoughts for your scan today.
I'm sure your mom is making sure you are eating every second, and getting outside and getting fresh air has to feel nice.
I'll be watching the blog non-stop tomorrow....
Love ya lots!!!
