One tough week-we need your prayers!

Hi everyone, I am writing this on Wednesday evening, after spending the last few hours at McKee Medical Center in Loveland...Angie has had a difficult week. With the radiation treatments progressing, she was experiencing some pretty harsh nausea, and increasing fatigue. Her nausea meds then eventually gave her a severe case of constipation. In the meantime, she was also experiencing some pain in her sides.

As she went for her treatment today, the doctor suggested a quick CT scan to determine what the problem might be...It turns out that the cancer has spread once again to several areas in her abdominal cavity, which all appear to be very small tumors. This appears similar to the earlier episode when the cancer spread a few months ago. Back then, the cancer was held in check by some agressive chemotherapy. We have a meeting with the oncologist tomorrow to determine the course for future treatments, although we are expecting that he will suggest a quick return to the chemo.

Keep Angie in your prayers over the next few days as she prepares to fight her next battle with the cancer. We are all frustrated with this latest news, but we are confident that she will fight back this advance once again. Thanks again for all of your prayers and continuing support.

Marlene has also asked me to let everyone know to wear purple to the Bowl-A-Thon this Sunday. A special thanks to Frontier Academy, who held a special fundraiser for us this week!

Thanks and God Bless you, Rick

Count a prayer on the way and more to come!!!! I often check your site wishing I was closer to see you all and help out, but praying is the main thing anyway. I guess I can lift you up to God for healing from here in Kentucky for that matter. Sorry about all the struggles! I'm praying for wise decisions from the doctors and healing medicine. Also I'm praying for you Angie to hang in there. God is holding you all in His hand. Hopefully just another valley on the way up to the mountain.
Love,
Leanna

Hey girlie!

Fight this with everything you've got! We're sending strength and love your way, and God is being bombarded with prayers for you.

The first song I heard on the radio today was "Angie" by the Rolling Stones - I took it as an excellent sign :-).

Love You!
Sarah

I think of you every day and pray that God will be with you every step of this journey and struggle. When you are too tired, I know that He will carry you. This might be one of those times. Let Him do the lifting and uplifting that it sounds like you might need. We send all of our love and prayers your way. Stay Strong!
Love from Illinois,
