Hi everyone, Well we all had a roller-coaster week with Angie being admitted to the hospital again last Wednesday. She completed her most recent chemotherpy treatment on Sunday and is still resting and recovering at McKee. She had a better day today, keeping some solid food down and spending some time outside at the park, across from the hospital. Her doctor was quite pleased with her most recent lab results today, as well as her overall progress after this tough regimen of cancer-fighting drugs. He expects her to be able to finally come home on Wednesday.
We all wanted to send out a huge "Thank-You" to all who participated in the Bowl-A-Thon this weekend. It was a tremendous success! Although the donations are still coming in, so far the total amount collected is over $12,000! Thrivent Financial has agreed to match $5,000 for the event, which will bring the incedible total to over $17,000 to help Angie and the family. Along with the $3,000 raised last week by Frontier Academy, that brings the grand total for the week to over $20,000! These results are truly incredible and the family is very grateful and appreciative for your generous gifts. A special thank you goes out to Angie's Aunt and Uncle, Mark and Pat Wurth who made the trip out to bowl from Nebraska, and also organized a tremendous fund-raising effort! We could not have had the event if not for the efforts of OSLC and the staff, and especially Marlene Stroh, who is a truly amazing person...
The atmosphere at the Bowl-A-Thon was incredible!! I hope to be able to post some pictures soon. If you were there and have some you sould like to share, please email them to me at afooshee@hotmail.com. Plenty of fun, family, love and hope gave this event a truly special feel. The family was so proud to be there representing Angie. She was very touched by all of our stories of all who came to bowl, the words spoken by Pastor Matt, the prayer of hope/healing and release of the purple balloons at the end..Praise God and thanks to all who came and participated..We love you all, Rick, Angie and Kids

Great! I am thankful this morning for some positive outcomes on the labs and for you Angie to get out and be outside. You're so strong. I'm also thankful that so many people have gotten together in LOVE.
"The Lord's lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, says my soul, Therefore I have hope in Him."
Lamentations 3:22-24
"For nothing will be impossible with God."
Luke 1:37
I'm sending prayers!!
Love,
Leanna
Angie, you are so amazing and strong! We're praying that the drugs are working and that you get to go home soon. Keep fighting and know that we love you!
